For the attention of Mr. Skinner.

Dear Sirs,

I have arranged that petrol pumps returned to you for repair shall be addressed to me as you suggest. I will be obliged if you will notify me when there are a sufficient number to warrent my comming over to inspect them.

We are anxious to know when you are going to fit the C-3 diaphragm material as it is now a month since we decided to do so. Will you please inform us when the change-over is made.

What would be the position if we asked for S.U. pumps fitted with A.C. diaphragm material, could you obtain supplies? From previous conversations we have had the only disadvantage to the A.C. material is that it does not resist Discol, but in spite of this there are numerous American cars with A.C. pumps on the Continent where alcohol fuels are used apparently without trouble. The position being that we must first find a diaphragm which will work with petrol and follow it up with one that will stand all fuels.

The C-3 material has promised to be better than the C-1 but we feel with the greater pressure of the high lift pump and the fact that it is always full of petrol we may experience trouble with leaking diaphragms and it is for this reason we are interested in the A.C. material.
