X899~ TO RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/AJL. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/AJL.1/MJ.17.12.30. The following jobs require attention on 27-EX.- (1) Oil Pump gears are noisy. (2) Axle is noisy. (3) Engine gears are not very good. (4) There is an exhaust blow from the hot spot. (5) There is a piston knock when cold which appears to be in number four cylinder. (6) The brake pedal fouls the pedal plate if pushed at all towards the steering column. (7) The instrument lighting scheme is not working. (8) New rear springs F.82992 - 1200 lbs. (5.1" initial camber) in our stores. (9) Cure oil leak from cantilever union. (10) Steering wheel not correctly set on column. (11) Exhaust cut out mechanism is stiff. (12) Extra cylinder lubrication cock is too stiff and there is excessive end play in the controls on the small bracket fixed to the sloping portion of dashboard. (13) Fit heat shield for magneto H.T. wires. (14) Fit Hartford shock absorbers. Front 30. Rear 50. (15) Bad plating on steering column thrust. (16) Clutch occasionally will not stop when hot.
