CMB9/GM/2.12.27. 40/50 H.P. GEAR LEVER 'C' STEERING. Your memo By/Cgh{W Clough}/1/GL.{G. Linnett}12.27 received. The information given in this memo merely confirms that given in my memo CMB15/GM.25.11.27 and does not in any way answer the question which was there asked. The question is, why was the position of the 'C' type gear lever made the same as the 'B' type in relation to the dash when the present design of side lever mechanism was introduced? No record can be found of any approval for this alteration, or indeed of the matter having ever been referred to Sales. Why therefore was this alteration made from previous practice in which the 'C' type lever was in the same position in relation to the dash as the 'D' type? Cmd CMB. | ||
