| K236. To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from E/JNR.{Charles L. Jenner} E/JNR{Charles L. Jenner}2/HP.10.10.33. c. RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} <strikethrough>Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Mr Salt</strikethrough> Bentley Semi-Split Piston - LeC.3493. Owing to the seizing of one of these pistons, which we think is partly due to the shortage of oil and incorrect clearance between it and the cylinder, we think it is necessary to modify the shape of the eccentric grinding by extending it above the scraper groove. Another improvement is to cut away the skirts at the bottom of the cylinders on one side only, the side opposite the tappets. We send you herewith blueprint LeC.3667.
