Referring to the attached Memo., I should be glad to have the opinion of Mr. Platford, Mr. Hives and Mr. Haldenby on this gear box. They must take into consideration that the ordinary driver, even with much experience with Rolls-Royce cars, finds it is very difficult to change gear on a Rolls-Royce car. Therefore, in criticising, they must bear in mind that all drivers are not as expert as they themselves are.
