Sidgreaves - MD} WOR.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} BENSPORT (J.1) STARTING HANDLE & 7th. & 8th. CROSSMEMBERS. Herewith we send N.sch.3583 shewing the arrangement of the starting handle and the 2 front crossmembers. It will be seen that we are leaving the actual scheme of the 7th. crossmember to E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer}, as we are not sure whether it is necessary for the crossmember to be detachable to enable the engine to be taken down.
