during Mr. Baring's preparations for starting. All this time petrol would be leaking from the float chamber.

(2) The continued working of the petrol pumps for some time could be understood owing to the car having stood idle for a week, the float chambers would in that time have become empty and would allay suspicion that anything was wrong.

(3) There was definitely no blow back from the engine.

(4) The cause of the fire was definitely from the saturated ignition tower ingiting through the spigot.
