Ph.III. Steering Ball Joint Rig Tests.

Our rig tests on cross steering ball joints have so far shown that the BZ/PD. pads are slightly better than standard BZ/PC. for maintaining their friction load but would not eliminate the necessity for periodical resetting in service. The brass pads were unsatisfactory owing to a high stiction load and tendency to pick up.

We now wish to try pads in casehardened and soft steel.
Will you please make the following:--

8 off G.83415 in S/ZN. casehardened 0.015 deep.
8 off G.84934 " "
8 off G.83415 in S/N.
