PHANTOM II CAR. QUESTIONNAIRE. TECHNICAL.
POSSIBLE IMPROVEMENTS.
PERFORMANCE.
(1) Maximum Speed
Cont. Model 100 m.p.h. Brooklands.
Standard " 85 m.p.h. "
(2) ACCELERATION. The greatest practicable acceleration is desired certainly much more than at present. This is a question of power-weight ratio all the time. Acceleration of other makes are published
(Quote any other makes which are considered to have the required acceleration and maximun speed.)
ENGINE.
(1) Mechanical Silence. such as can be realized with the 8 cyl Studson 4168 Wisconsin at all speeds.
i.e. Tappets. we expect adjustable tappets. (self adjusting)
Pistons.
Timing Gears.
Oil Pump etc.
(2) Other Noises.
(Carb: suction etc)
(3) Accessibility.
Tappet Adjustment.
Oil Filler.
Oil Filter.
Oil drain plug.
Oil level Indicator.
Battery ignition.
