S/W. To Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. from Lp.{Mr Lappin} Copy to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} WST Lp.{Mr Lappin}1/LAM.14.12.34. r6092. Re: MR. FAIREY'S CAR - B.11.BN.{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington} Mr. Fairey has pointed out that on his new Bentley as above there is a 3 or 4 amp. discharge when the head lamps are on, and he would like something done to rectify this discharge. It is understood that C. is in communication with Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} on the matter, but in view of the satisfactory charging rate on 4.B.IV., can you please let us have your recommendations in regard to dealing with the case of Mr. Fairey. I confirm my conversation with you on Wednesday last that with the head lamps on, the screen wiper working, instrument board illuminated and two additional dash lamps on, there is a slight balance on the right side.
