SECRET. To Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} from CJ. This of course would be a disappointment as we look upon the introduction of the sub frame as an improvement of considerable importance, which should be introduced at the earliest possible moment after its xxxx thorough trial. It is a great disappointment to us to know that West WitteringHenry Royce's home town have not been supplying you with designs for the lengthened frame, the lengthened front springs, alteration in dumb irons etc. in parallel with the designs for gear boxes suitable for front wheel brakes and that Derby have only just tumbled to the fact that, even if we had a perfect gear box suitable for front wheel brakes, there must be many weeks of delay before Derby could produce a chassis suitable for front wheel brakes.
