Suggesting the use of a Bostock & Bramley servo worm gear to handle heavy loads.

In the gearbox integral with the engine this has been arranged direct drive like the 20HP. Owing to the occasional very heavy load on the teeth I send Mr. Bailey the suggestion that we might use a Bostock & Bramley worm which gives a worm that will carry a much larger load before the oil film breaks down. Since this is an economical scheme, but caused some trouble on the 20HP. I suggest that to save time, and the risk of disappointment, we at once get Bostock & Bramley to make us a pair of their wheels, or cut ours to their shapes. Probably they would put us in the way of cutting our own at a small royalty on the pair of wheels.
