Description of Parts. FELT OIL RETAINING RING AT REAR OF CRANKSHAFT BEARING.
Origin. To prevent oil leaking from rear bearing into clutch pit.
Report of Experimental Test. Fitted to 21-G-IV and ran 10,000 miles in France satisfactorily. The loss of oil from the bearing has been appreciably less than with previous designs.
