Recommendation for a gearbox and gearshift, suggesting a Stutz-type 3-speed with an emergency low.

If this were the approved plan we should recommend the form of box and gearshift used on the Stutz (illustrated in attached sheets) which uses the conventional 3-speed shift with an "emergency low" controlled by trigger.

The ratios should then be approximately the same as those used in the present English 4-speed box.
