Considerable trouble is being experienced on production with seizing of 25 HP. and Bentley steerings, so we wish to have a rig on which we can reproduce the seizures. Will you please construct a rig which will drive the gear from the steering wheel end with the gear at about the same inclination as on the car. The steering wheel should be rotated 1 revolution either side of the central position, making 2 revolutions in all. The load on the pendulum lever end should be about 300 lbs. and should change in direction in the central position. It can be applied either by weights or springs. If by springs it would be quite suitable if the load were small in the central position and increased to 300 lbs. at the full travel. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/F.J.Hardy. | ||
