To BJ. from DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} c. to HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} +8830 SECRET. DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}1/M29.8.24. EAC.11. X.8770 X.8830. There will be an EAC.2. chassis for Mr. Royce's use, and we feel that this will be the car that will be wanted by him in the south of France during the coming Winter. We have consulted him on the question of a body for this chassis, and he suggests we should have a 4 door, 4 light, Beatonson all-weather by Young & Co., of Bromley, similar to the one on 5-Goshawk-11., which he was very pleased with. We have already provisionally discussed the matter with the coachbuilders and they suggest that the price would be £420. No mention was made to them that the chassis was anything but standard, and the quotation is therefore for a short chassis 'D' steering standard 40/50 HP. Can we go ahead with this? We understand Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} is in agreement. DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
