X6006. By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from EFC. EFC4/AD20.11.30. MALCOLM CAMPBELL. - HIGHER OUTPUT DYNAMO. The average 48 coil high output machine recently standardised for use with the half charge switching system has a considerably higher output than the old 56 coil machine modified by trailing the poles. The increase in peak output is about 3 1/2 amperes and the cutting in point in road speed is only increased from 13 to 16 miles per hour, there is, therefore, a small loss in the early stages but there is a very big gain of output in the neighbourhood of the peak and at higher speeds, in fact a big enough gain to make it, in our opinion, certainly worth while providing this customer with one of these up-to-date machines.
