Cricklewood Works,
London, N.W.2.

For the attention of Mr. C.W. Nichols.

Dear Sir,

We confirm having handed to your
Messrs. Manwaring and Russell the mock up electrical
speedometer arrangement which we have had working in
our laboratory. As this is our only sample we should
be glad if you will return it to us as soon as you have
completed your tests.

We hope you will appreciate that this is
just a rig up of the various units and we trust, if you
decided to manufacture this type of speedometer, that a
satisfactory instrument can be evolved suitably housing
the rectifier and resistance unit.

We should be glad to hear from you in
the near future what your intentions are in the direction
of manufacturing these in quantities.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
