(a). To evolve a method of transforming the oxides on the plate to the stable magnetic type of oxide, which is a complete protection against corrosion.

I am certain that these are the lines upon which springs will be produced, and if the proposals are followed through, the results would be equal to what we are now obtaining by grinding the surface of the plates to remove a depth of anything up to .015, and then plating the finished spring to prevent corrosion attack.
