-2- Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Swd1.12/KT.9.1.33. feed, to compensate for a slack fitting taper needle, it is important that the depression in the floatchamber should be unaltered by any leak externally, such as leak down the control spindle, when balanced by (Lec.3334). With this in mind, we suggest if during assembly the top face of the control nut be lapped to the face of the gland nut, and a short stiff spring be fitted under the control nut, it is unlikely that any leak would take place irrespective of wear between the spindle and its bushes.
