Re: CHASSIS 3.AZ.212 - Mrs. FRYER
Total mileage of car as per speedometer:
31.069 miles

---------------------------------------

The above car has been sent to us in order that we should carry out a bottom decarbonise etc..

As this car is principally used for long journeys during which it is driven at very high speeds, we may find it necessary to change the connecting rods (big-end bearings).

We note from Depot Sheet Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}394 that connecting rods are now fitted with Hall's A.C.9 metal. We should mention that we have in stock 6 new connecting rods fitted with A.C.6 metal. We take it that we shall be in order in fitting these rods to the above car, should we find the original ones to be in a poor condition.

Should the oil cooler be dispensed with when fitting connecting rods which have A.C.6 shells?

Kindly let us have a reply as early as possible.
