To ER. J.c. to HY{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer}/RD. 7/- 6139 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wst.18/JH.8.4.37. Re Headlamp foot switch for all chassis. We have now completed satisfactorily a bench test consisting of 100,000 operations on a new Lucas foot-switch type FS.{F. Steele}22/N and providing the same is also satisfactory on the cars to which it is to be fitted, it is proposed to standardise the same. Will you please have a scheme prepared shewing the mounting of this footswitch on the chassis. We are arranging to send you a sample switch and drawings.
