- Dodd, Esq.,
Experimental Department,
Rolls Royce Works,
Derby.

Dear Mr. Dodd,

At Mr. Sidgreaves' request, herewith my car together with my chauffeur who will explain in detail the astonishing collection of symptoms.

There is no doubt that there is something very peculiar about the engine as all the trouble has occurred to me personally, and I am not relying on hearsay evidence. I want to take the car abroad in thesummer and therefore will be very grateful if you can really get to the bottom of it.

My chauffeur will stay in Derby as long as you wish. I would be very grateful if you would arrange for him to be shown round the works. He is very keen indeed and has had a good deal of experience with Rolls and Bentleys.

I remain,

Yours very truly,

E.C. Dodds.
