To Wd. {Mr Wood / Mr Whitehead} from EFC. {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} X.4215. EFC {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} 5/T30.5.21. X.4215 - BLERIOT PHI CUTOUT. Answering your Wd {Mr Wood / Mr Whitehead} 1/NJ24.5.21, it was decided at the Works Committee Conference held on 23.12.20 as a result of Mr. Royce's note R2/G15.12.20, that one dozen Bleriot Phi cutouts should be ordered up and placed on all experimental and trials cars, and a request to you to order up 10 cutouts (we having already received two) was communicated to you in our EFC {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} 4/T23.12.20. Up to the present moment we have retained four cutouts, two being two of the six last received, four of which were returned. In accordance with the original arrangement, therefore, we expect to receive eight further cutouts, but as we are not certain of the quality of these cutouts being maintained equal to the original two, it is no use getting all six at once, and we suggest that four be now asked for, unless the six referred to in yours are already on the way.
