SALES DIRECTOR'S OFFICE. 18th December, 1933. Messrs. Rolls-Royce, Ltd., DERBY. Attention of Mr. A.L.Lidsey. Dear Sirs, We have completed the fitting work on the 40/50 Chassis which you so very kindly left with us, and look forward to receiving your valued report and criticisms of the "JACKALL" Set in due course. Meantime, in order as far as possible to overcome your objection to the set on the score of unsprung weight we have fitted four of the small type Jackall rams or jacks. These will be perfectly satisfactory in the case of any normal tests to which you require to put the jacks but we take this opportunity of pointing out that a larger design of Jack is available should you require same. Reverting to the question of unsprung weight, we believe we are correct in stating that the four Jackall rams complete with brackets and flex weigh less than the three jacks which you are at present standardising. Awaiting your esteemed news and thanking you in anticipation. Yours faithfully, For S.SMITH & SONS (Motor Accessories) LTD., [Signature] SALES DIRECTOR. | ||
