SECTION 7042. SPRINGSUSPENSION MECHANISM.

Please receive herewith two blueprints of each of the following :-

S.CD.699 Stay for Lower Triangle Levers. 2 off.
Ex.S.796 U Bolt - Stay. 2 off.
Ex.S.797 Distance Piece. 2 off.
Ex.S.798 " " 2 off.
Ex.S.799 Bracket - Stay. 2 off.
Ex.S.800 Stay 1 off.
Ex.S.801 Triangle Lever Lower (RH {R. Hollingworth} ) 1 off.
Ex.S.802 " " " (LH {Mr Haworth} ) 1 off.
Ex.S.803 Torque Arm. 2 off.

With regard to the drilling of the Lower Triangle Levers as shown on Ex.S.801/2, it should be noted that levers drilled and tapped for 2 - 1/4" diam. studs have been run on the bumper with 3" cams for 50 hrs., so that trouble due to drilling for the 3/16" dowel is not expected.

The following standard parts will also be required :-

K.4848 Taper Pin. 2 off.
K.4008 Nut - U. Bolt. 4 off.
K.9008 S. Washer 4 off.
K.4313 Nut - Stay. 2 off.
K.9009 S.Washer - Stay. 2 off.
KB.2805 Bolt - Stay. 2 off.
K.4008 Nut - Bracket. 4 off.
K.9008 S.Washer - Bracket. 4 off.
K.205 Bolt - Bracket. 4 off.

The above scheme has been produced in accordance with memo Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /AFM. {Anthony F. Martindale} 3/R.9.6.38. and provides for a stay for the lower triangle to prevent 'creep' of the 'Silent bloc' bearings at the front end.

Kindly instruct 2 sets.
