SALES DIRECTOR'S OFFICE.

6th December, 1935.

File

Messrs. Rolls Royce Ltd.,
DERBY.

For attention of Mr. J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} C. Bowering.

Dear Sirs,

Replying to yours of the 4th December, Ref: Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Bwg{J. C. Bowring}/15/KW., and confirming conversation with Mr. Hives this morning, we are ear-marking the Jackall Distributor Box and Handle required for the new PhantomCodename for PHANTOM I 111 Chassis and hope to despatch these items to you during the course of the next day or two.

As mentioned to Mr. Hives, we can if necessary, manufacture this box in your special metal. As we know that the question of weight is a serious consideration, we 'phoned for the purpose of ascertaining your wishes and understand that this point is immaterial in the case of the sample in question.

Meanwhile, may we explain that the system which we are fitting to the chassis which you have kindly sent to our Great Portland Street address has been specially designed, and the distributor box employed being hand-made is necessarily more weighty than a tooled production job.

Always at your service,

Yours faithfully,
For S. SMITH & SONS (MOTOR ACCESSORIES) LTD.

SALES DIRECTOR.
