Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} x7772 To Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} From Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Copy to Oy. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} DY.{F R Danby} Srr. Wer. re L.H.P.II Chassis. Referring to Oy5/DM.{D. Munro}12.6.30, when Oy. was asking for blue prints some time ago, I explained to him that I thought it was absolutely useless to give him blue prints until everything was settled. For instance we had not at that date decided on the new shape bonnet and dash which are on the second car, nor the width of back axle. Until we have seen the second car we cannot decide on the first item, and until the first car has completed the 10,000 miles, we cannot settle on the second item. It will in any case be 6 months from the date of ordering the material until the date that they can get chassis which should, I think, be more than adequate to enable them to make all their arrangements in regard to bodies.
