re Marine Section.

With respect to your Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/ML.12.3.40. (headed Weight Analysis) we confirm that whilst we do not agree to 3 designers permanently on Marine Work, you have agreed verbally that the complete engine section may consist of the following, if we include the Fuel Injection Engine, Lorry Engine, Marine Engine, and car engines.

Jnr.{Charles L. Jenner} - Leader.
Peak - Chassis engines.
Griffiths
New Commercial Vehicle man) Marine etc. [Partially obscured by signature 'Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}']

We suggest that in the immediate pre-war days the design staff on engine work consisted of -

Jnr.{Charles L. Jenner}
McStay's section in the design office, and a portion of By/Ald{F. Allwood - Experimental Design}'s. section.

In the interval whilst awaiting the arrival of the commercial vehicle man we are to be allowed to have Mr. Kightley, in exchange for an agreed detailer from here. We shall fix this up as soon as work the men are engaged upon is completed.
