Contd. -4- EFC7/T31.10.21. heaviest load at which this motor was tested, namely, 92 lb-inches, the motor behaved consistently well and there was no trouble at the commutator and brushes. In this and other respects, this motor has behaved very much better than previous C.A.V. motors which we have tested. On the commutator end bearing there is a felt pad device presumably for the purpose of preventing oil from the bearing finding its way to the commutator. This motor can now be put on the Goshawk chassis in place of the Lucas, which is required for bench test. We will ask the C.O. to obtain for us the prices of these various dynamos and motors, but at present we have not this information, except for Lucas. EFC. | ||
