49350 HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} BY15/H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} 6.4.27. JACKING UP CAR. - BACK AXLE. We recently instructed two methods of adding a permanent packing to the back axle. One of them can be fitted to any existing car. The other one would have to be produced and fitted during the erection of the axle. It is important that we should have some information as to which of the two you favour, because if the light scheme, which has to be made a permanent part of the axle during erection, is agreed to as being satisfactory, then we would like to introduce this at an early moment.
