DELCO DISTRIBUTOR - WRAITH
---------------------------

The Delco distributor used on A and B Series Wraith has proved to be reliable except for certain points which are not altogether the fault of the distributor itself. In servicing these distributors, the following points should be noted:

1. It is possible to over tighten the L.T. terminal so much as to crush the Bakelite insulator and so earth the connecting strip of the contact levers. This may be done when fitting the additional spring washers which have been instructed retrospectively.

2. The greaser on the distributor spindle must be used as instructed, i.e., it must be kept filled with water pump grease, and given a turn or so fairly frequently. Several distributors examined have been found to be quite dry.

3. A smear of Mobilgrease No.2 should be used to lubricate the cam eccentrically.

4. The correct R.R. type finger must be used having a broad base rubbing block, in place of the standard Delco which has a thin right angle rubbing block.
