To CWB. from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to C. c. to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} c. to BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} X4050 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}3/LG2. 5. 27. TYRES. X4050 X5810 It has been agreed that as soon as possible we should adopt the standard Dunlop tyres as regards tread pattern. We recently sent you a set of tyres with the latest treads and you reported that the amount of noise was no worse than with the traction tread. We therefore are assuming that as regards the Phantom you have no objection to using the standard pattern buttressed type treads. We should also like to get square on the 20 HP. We understand that you are obtaining a set of 6" section tyres. We should like you to let us know whether these are satisfactory as regards noise so that they can be supplied as standard on the cars.
