Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer}5/MH.{M. Huckerby}13.4.39. we have investigated the possibility of increasing the diameter of the studs between the steering box and the support bracket from .250 to .3125, and agree it can be done, the diameter of the holes in the support bracket should be .3437 diameter. To increase the diameter of the bolts between the frame and the support bracket, we should have to alter the forgings FB.3737 of which we have 300 in stock. As the diameter of these bolts is .3125 at present, we suggest it should be adequate for the job. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
