Derby..........Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Levallois Sr/VA6/MLG.23.12.36 Re- Chassis B-IO-GA-Baron Brincard With reference to paragraph 6 on page 2 of your Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/SWD1.4/JH.18.12.36, the above car was found to be quite OK. on test after the stepping of the liners as per our Sr/VAI2/GM. 15.12.36. Concerning the question of the final bearing clearance after the stepping of the liners which should be approximately .003" this has been having our attention, which is rather a problem. We will write to you again upon the matter, in the meantime we are carrying out careful oil tests after the work in addition to making sure that an engine attended to is free. "VA" | ||
