TESTS FOR DETERMINING THE SERVO TORQUE. We are sending you some 'set up' spring balances which we should like you to fit to your cars to determine the torque multiplication. They should be fitted as shewn in the accompanying sketch. Call the top spring balance 'A' (the one connected with the pedal) and the bottom one 'B'. We usually take about 15 sets of readings with vary- ing degrees of braking for one test. A point to note is that the brake pedal should be released before the car comes to a stand- still.
