re Hardy Spicer Shaft for Bentley.

I have arranged with Hardy Spicer to make up a 3" diameter shaft and send it over here as quickly as possible for testing the needle roller bearing joints. Their balancing tests on the shaft we have were taken at 1000 r.p.m. and they claim that this shaft should be satisfactory up to 4500 removing the usual percentage for the difference between theoretical and actual whirling speed.

Unfortunately Mr Daniell himself is away but this will not delay the production of the new shaft, and we can then return the old one for them to check up.
