Our ref: CTW/HW Your ref: XFC1/T. 4th September 1919. Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd., Nightingale Road, DERBY. Dear Sirs, For the attention of Mr. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Fowler-Clark; CHASSIS LIGHTING DYNAMO: Replying to your favour of the 3rd. inst. and confirming our wire of this morning, we regret tomorrow will not be a suitable day for you to inspect the Dynamo referred to in our recent correspondence. If quite convenient to your good selves, we shall be extremely obliged if you will kindly postpone your visit say for 14 days. This is necessary, by reason of the fact, that we are not sufficiently forward on production with the particular type of machine you desire to inspect, owing to the rather large demand we have experienced for the smaller type of Dynamo. We trust that this arrangement is quite convenient to your good selves. Awaiting the favour of your esteemed instructions, We beg to remain, Yours faithfully, pp. S. SMITH & SONS (M.A) LTD. A.W.
