Page: 2 [Column 1] Header: [empty] Body: Hoppers [Column 2] Header: only one side door on each side? Body: Yes. If could sell it would like to build body with one door only & that on near side. [Column 3] Header: only 4 points for body to rest upon? Body: No. Can do with more than 8 points for body to rest upon. Depend almost entirely upon strength of chassis frame for strength of body. Think a strip of 2" felt, grease treated would be better than separate points. If such or separate points are used weight must be increased. [Column 4] Header: only face fit for doors? Body: Rattle chiefly in windows which when halfway open can be made quiet by hooks at one top corner. [Column 5] Header: Matchboxing? Body: Most of the weakness is in door pillars which actually 'whip' 5/8" from engine vibration with certain 4 cyl engines. [Column 6] Header: oval doors? Body: Pillars not suitable. Moreover doorways do not give at joints. [Column 7] Header: Dovetail? Body: one only. Which should be adjustable. Only one dovetail. Dowel should be used & this must be adjustable. | ||
