For the attention of Mr.Brooks.

Dear Sirs,

Further to our experiments with your "Aerolite" pistons, the modification for which is shown on our drawing Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}522.

We have now tried two stages of this crown alteration, one has the portion of the crown raised .170 and the other .300.

You have in hand a further supply of Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}522 pistons with the crown raised .170.

We would now like a further 21 pistons with the crown raised .300.

Also we would like to go a stage further by having 14 pistons with the crown raised .440 otherwise as the drawing Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}522.

We would be obliged if you could supply these pistons as soon as possible so that we can complete this experiment.

Please let us know by return the best you can do re delivery.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
