PHANTOM 11 SPRINGING.

The following observation occurs in a memo we have had from Ps. complaining of the springing of his Trials car.

"Before leaving Paris I had to dismantle the garters of all springs because of squeaking, and this incidentally is due to the fact that you turn these springs out from the Works in a dry condition save for some sort of thick grease which is used between the leaves. The engine oil of the lubricating system simply cannot get to the desired places because of this grease. I have written to EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} about the same kind of thing in connection with the 20 HP. Paris Show car."

If this is so it would appear that we should thoroughly oil the springs and not grease them before they leave the Test.
