Re Special Nuts for Axles.

Mr Royce 5-11-12 TBB6/L51112.

With reference to your note FHR3/H261012 concerning the special nuts. You are I believe under the impression that we are using long nuts with the hexagon carried the whole length. This is not so.

The long nuts made from round bar and milled hexagon for the specified distance have been standard for some time as regards the axle, in fact I do not think we turned out any axles with the hexagon carried the full length of the nut.
