G.W. Hancock, Esq., Hotel de France, Chateauroux, Indre, France. x 4553 a Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}6/KW.25.7.34. We want to issue a Standardisation Sheet for the unbalanced shutters. You have not passed any adverse comment on these and therefore we presume that they are working satisfactorily. With regard to the brakes, you say that they are no better for efficiency when they are wet, we should like to know, however, if they are free from jaggers which have previously been the characteristic of the Bentley. Attached is copy of a note from a chauffeur. It is very difficult to believe this but we remember a lot of tests you did on the Bentley clutch pit cover with a view to our reducing the oil leaks through the rear main bearing, and it would certainly be of interest if you could parallel these on 21-G-IV now it is out there. We are sending you some replacements for the double valve springs. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
