-2- Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}19/JE.9.9.38. Other desireable features for production tested on this unit were (a) Crankshaft with turned finish of webs. (b) Modified panel milling off the rods similar to Faith 1.1. (c) Rods with little end bushes size and size & 1/2 thou clearance and 3/4 thou clearance. Following a successfull crack test of items (a) and (b) we are prepared to issue standardisation sheets. Regarding floating little end bushes to overcome production difficulties the two rods with the 3/4 thou clearance little ends were picked out by the testers as being noisy therefore we say we must adhere to the present press fit bushes pending an alternate satisfactory solution.
