RE. PN{Mr Northey}'S CAR AND PROPORTIONATE BRAKING.

My impression is that PN.{Mr Northey} was braking his car with his front wheel brakes and his servo, that the servo would naturally wear and be replaced by adjustment, whereas also it was necessary to adjust the rear brakes. As far as I can see this cannot take place with the arrangement we are putting into production. It is also for such a reason that I desire the floating lever instead of the shaft type of equaliser which can get its levers at the wrong angles and make a great difference in the proportions. Half the trouble with heat and wear of this servo has been that it has done too much of the braking.
