-5- would no doubt lose some of its present outstanding characteristics, but I submit that it would be realised by anybody owning such a car that they could not expect the same performance in all respects as the present PHANTOM if they were really going to get high speed, and I do not believe it would be expected. When one only has a certain amount of money to spend one naturally buys the car which suits one's purpose best, and that is the reason why I bought a car which will go fast. I am not wedded to any one particular make of car, but I like to have a car capable of getting to these very high speeds. I have had my say and only now hope that you will be a little kind, and be as tolerant as possible with my shortcomings. I have tried to give you as true and accurate an account of my week-end as I possibly can. I can really never be sufficiently grateful to you and to your great Company for the treat which you gave me, and I should like at the same time to say how grateful I am to the Driver, who was a most charming man in every way, and he spared no pains and trouble to explain all the points of the car to me. I was able to see that he was a splendid driver, absolutely wrapt up in the car, and a real enthusiast. Thank you again ever so much. Yours very sincerely (Sd) Curzon. PS. Only one other point I ought to have mentioned. This was the coldest car I have ever been in. What about central heating, also one shot lubrication? | ||
