With reference to the attached.

We have already arranged for Wst. to send several sets of the dials of the Smith instruments away, to see if we can obtain a finish which is different to that fitted to the Morris and at the same time acceptable to Sales. This appears to be the only point which can be varied easily without considerable increase in the cost of the patch and so defeating its object.

With regard to the rim round the panel. As this is manufactured by the Works it is easy for us to experiment with something lighter with a different type of finish, with a view to eliminating this criticism.
