X.2712 - RE WHEELCASE BALL BEARING HOUSING AND WATER & OIL
X.3093
X.3094 PUMP TOWERS (UPPER & LOWER PARTS) IN ALUMINIUM

Would you please instruct the above items to be tried in crankcase aluminium for both Eagle and Falcon.

The lower portion of the oil pump tower is a very heavy piece at the present moment in bronze, which could well be used in the lighter metal.

Where the ball bearing housing overhand as in sketch, they probably require a little stiffening up.

These items should be added to the list quoted in memo Cyl/B16617.

E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer}
