Dear Sirs,
We beg to acknowledge receipt of your letter of the 17th instant Ref:Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.3/MA, and much regret to note your complaint with reference to Clocks fitted to the combined Rev Indicator.
It is most unfortunate that you should have experienced two failures out of the original four instruments supplied. The writer has pursued this matter with Mr.Buckland who has explained that the first four Clocks supplied to Mr.Evernden were prepared at very short notice. Mr.Buckland further explains that he warned both Mr.Evernden and Mr.West that we had not had time to give these clocks the requisite time and observation test.
We beg to inform you that we have supplied over 20,000 of this same movement over the past two years with entirely satisfactory results and we are convinced that you will not have cause for complaint in the case of those instruments which have been produced under normal conditions.
