For the attention of Mr.Fred. Connolly.

Dear Mr.Connolly,

I want to obtain a small quantity of leather cloth to match one of your leather patterns. The pattern selected for this particular job is contained in your "Celestra" book and numbered C.L. 2177.

Can you please let me have a [handwritten: a fair] sized pattern (approximately one squarefoot) that I can use for matching grain and colour.

We have not made very much progress since I saw you last and existing conditions may restrict the development of our thoughts for some time. When the situation reaches a more normal state I hope to contact you further.

In meantime many thanks in anticipation of your help.

Yours faithfully,
